
Arrest Made In Early Morning East Moline Homicide
East Moline police have made an arrest in a homicide case.
According to a press release from East Moline police, police were dispatched to Crowne Forest Apartment Complex (at 1275 49th Avenue Court) at 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 16th.
They found a man with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital for life-threatening injuries and measures were taken but he did not survive.
A couple of hours later, around 8:25 a.m., after a chase, police found the suspect around the area of 5th St. and 39th Avenue in Rock Island. He tried to flee in a car then on foot, and ran into an apartment building at Maple Ridge Apartment complex (at 3700 5th Street in Rock Island).
The suspect surrendered to police at 9:10 a.m.

The suspect is 21-year-old Anthony L. Tem, from Rock Island, is being held in the Rock Island County Jail facing a first-degree murder charge.
Any further details, including the victim's name has not been released, pending notifying the family.
