We don't get to pick our coworkers and that can either go really well or really bad.

A lot of us spend just as much time, if not more, around our coworkers than we do our own families. We have to work, right? Some great things can come out of being around coworkers so much. I met my best friend at my old job. I also had a different coworker that had a stress kazoo.

Some coworkers are just flat annoying and often have terrible habits that just eat away at your nerves.

That's why I asked you what your coworkers' annoying habits are and oof. You've got some rough ones. Here were a few of them (anonymously of course). Consider this an intervention if you often do any of these things.

10. Video Chat Etiquette

Two listeners mentioned this one. Shouldn't we all know how to video chat by now? Only take yourself off mute if you need to say something, don't do it while you're driving (if you can help it), don't chew loudly or with your mouth open. I know we're not all tech-savvy people, but this isn't that complicated and it needs to be nailed down.

9. You Bring Stinky Food

Save that leftover tuna salad for the house, please don't bring it to the office to have for lunch. Stuff like hard-boiled eggs, fish, raw onions, and more just stink up the common kitchen space and people will definitely know who's fault it is.

8. Using The 'Reply All' Button

One Davenport resident told me that the only time the 'reply all' button is permissible is if it's legitimately something everyone on the email chain needs to know. It gets annoying when it's a simple word in agreement to whatever the original email said.

7. Not Cleaning Up After Yourself

You shouldn't have to tell anyone old enough to be in the workforce that they need to clean up after themselves. That includes their office, workspace, after they're done in the kitchen, or wherever.

6. Selling Stuff & Soliciting

This one I don't mind as much but it really strikes a chord for one listener. She said it seems like once a month one of her coworkers wants signatures on a petition, the office to buy food for their kid's fundraiser, or something else to solicit.

5. You Talk A Lot Of Politics

It's one thing if politics is your passion but you still have to have the decency filter to not talk about it honestly at all at work. It's such a divisive topic nowadays and can only end with arguing. Not a vibe anyone at the office wants to deal with.

4. You Park Like An Idiot

You have no hope for anonymity with any of these habits, including parking. Your coworkers know each other's cars. They know it's your idiot self who double parks every single day.

3. You Interrupt & Try To Be Extra

It's rude in general to interrupt people. Obviously. Don't do that in the office nor try to outdo someone else, which often starts with the phrase: "piggybacking off of that".

2. You Can't Keep Your Hands Off The Thermostat

We don't want to be in the fiery depths of Hell nor the arctic tundra. Repeat after me: I will not touch the thermostat. I will not touch the thermostat.

1. All The Personal Details, All The Time

Most of you had this complaint to lodge with a current or former coworker. They just will not can it with sharing personal details at work. Maybe they're on the phone all the time dealing with ~drama~ or maybe they tell you just well more than you ever wanted to know about their personal life. Save this stuff for after work.
