It's hard to believe, but spring is almost here, and so is Easter. The holiday falls early this year, but that also means getting to do Easter activities, like dyeing eggs, going on an egg hunt or consuming massive quantities of candy early. There is plenty of fun to be had in and around the Quad Cities in preparation of the holiday. Grab your little bunnies and head out to one of these family friendly events.

Bettendorf Mayor's Easter Egg Hunt:

When and Where: Saturday, March 19. 1pm, Crow Creek Park, 4800 N. Devil's Glen Rd, Bettendorf.

Event Details: Kid's games and events begin at 1pm, with the hunt following at 2pm.

Rock Island Parks and Rec Egg Hunt: 

When and Where: Saturday, March 19 at 9:30 am, Lincoln Park, 11th and 38th St, Rock Island.

Event Details: This free egg hunt will have areas for different age groups throughout the park. The Easter Bunny will be on hand to help with the festivities and take photos. If weather is questionable the day of the event, call the rain line at (309) 732-RAIN to check if the hunt will be relocated to the indoor location.

Eggcellent Adventure at the Freight House Farmers' Market:

When and Where: Saturday, March 26 from 8 am-1pm at the Freight House Farmers' Market, 421 W River Drive, Davenport.

Event details: There will be free face painting, cookie and bonnet decorating, baby animals, egg hunts at 9 and 11, and visits from the Easter Bunny.

The Freight House is known for its awesome events, so this will be one adventure you don't want to miss!

LeClaire Egg Hunt:

When and Where: Saturday, March 26 at 11am at Hollyhock Park, 201 N 6th St, LeClaire.

Event Details: There will be food vendors, live music, a bounce house and photos with the Easter Bunny.

The event is free, but donations are appreciated.

Easter Egg Scramble 5K Race and Hunt

When and Where: 8:30 am for children's half mile race, 9 am for Scramble 5k for adults, 10:15 for the Easter egg hunt for race participants, Village of East Davenport.

Event Details: Runners of all ages can participate in these family friendly races. For just $10, kids under 12 can walk or run the Bunny Hop 1/2 mile. Adults who wish to participate in the 5k have until March 24 to register. Registration is $40. An awards ceremony and Easter egg hunt for Bunny Hop participants will follow the races.

Breakfast with the Easter Bunny/Egg Hunt

When and Where: Saturday, March 26. Breakfast is from 8-11am, egg hunt at 9 am. Hyvee, 4218 Avenue of the Cities, Moline.

Event Details: Bring the kids and enjoy breakfast with the big guy. Kids eat free with purchase of an adult meal. Follow up breakfast with Hyvee's  annual egg hunt. Age categories include toddlers from 1-3, kids 4-7 and 8-12.
