Family Friendly Event In Bettendorf: Walk and Roll

According to the City of Bettendorf Facebook, the Walk and Roll Event will be held on Sunday, August 27 from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. beginning at Devils Glen Park Shelter #2, 1101 Devils Glen Road, Bettendorf.

1:00 p.m.– Youths receive FREE Ice Cream Coupon (first 50 participants!) Families receive Walk and Roll Participation Certificates!

1:15 p.m. – Take off! Go at your own pace and as far as you would like!

The event consists of a short family-oriented relaxed walk, run, or ride on the trails in Bettendorf. A volunteer will be there to greet participants at the start and join you for fun on the trails!! Walk and Roll is a great opportunity for individuals of all ages who would like to enjoy spending time outdoors and a get a little exercise.

The event is sponsored by the Bettendorf Bicycle and Pedestrian Committee (BBPC). This is a city-led committee of employees, business leaders, educators, and residents. The mission of BBPC is to promote and support a safe and active lifestyle for the community.

Bettendorf was recently awarded a Bronze Level Designation by the League of American Cyclists. As part of an effort to continue to expand usage of trails in Bettendorf, the committee is hosting Walk and Roll events and other similar events throughout the year.
