Nice job, Fareway.

It's always good to see a company who appreciates its employees. The Iowa-based grocery chain is showing workers they care in a big way- they're now offering student loan repayment assistance.

According to The Des Moines Register, Fareway has started a new program that will contribute around $100 monthly towards each employee's student loans. The money will be paid directly to the loan company through a third party system.

“It will help reduce the financial stress of paying student loan debt and encourage employees to consider higher education who may not have previously due to its cost,” said Fareway CEO Reynolds Cramer in a prepared statement. There are about 3,000 employees eligible for the benefit.

Fareway operates 122 stores across the Midwest, including several in the QCA.
