Feeling Artsy? You Can Design Davenport Library’s New Library Cards
Calling all Davenport book lovers and artists: the Davenport Public Library has a task for you.
What do you love about books? What pictures come to mind when you think about reading? Now is the time to put pencil (or paint) to paper and make it happen.
The Davenport Public Library is having their first ever Library Card Design Contest and you still have time to enter!
The winning design will be featured on the library's new limited edition cards that will be launching in April as part of National Library Month.
The Rules
- Art needs to showcase what the library means to you, some aspect of the library, or how much/why you love reading
- Art has to include the library's logo
- Don't put your name in the art
- It's open to all ages
- Images can be computer-generated or made with whatever art medium you have available
- Participation is only for Davenport residents & their kids
- One entry per person
- Your deadline is Nov. 19
Drawing and the visual arts are something I've always been super mediocre at but this is perfect for you if you love graphic design or even just sketching. Just don't procrastinate doing it and miss the deadline.
You can pick up the entry form at any Davenport Public Library branch or you can find the link for it here. Just make sure you read all of the rules before you send in your art.
You can get more details on the contest at it's Facebook event here.
