We told you about the Field of Dreams getting a facelift about a month ago. Mother Nature hasn't been playing nice the last couple months. The field was frozen and work couldn't be performed.

According to KWQC, work on repairing the field begins today. Remember a vandal decided it would be a good time to drive a pick-up truck through the field, and tearing up the outfield, part of the infield, and pitchers mound in January.

Teams from the Mid-West League including the Bandits, Burlington Bees, Clinton Lumberkings, and Cedar Rapids Kernels, along with the Chicago Cubs are assisting in the repairs.

This is the fourth time the project has been rescheduled due to weather. A GoFundMe was set up and raised thousands of dollars, and some materials were donated.
