There are a couple of options to get a free flu shot today, Tuesday, October 20, in Rock Island County.

We've officially seen our first snowfall in the Quad Cities this year, and temperatures have already begun to drop. With that, flu season is right around the corner. Because of COVID-19, the CDC is urging everyone to get their flu vaccine before the end of October. So people don't have to fight against the flu and COVID-19, doctors and the CDC are really pushing people to get a flu vaccine before the end of October.

To help people get the flu shot, two organizations in Rock Island are having a free flu shot clinic. St. Anthony's Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Rock Island will be holding one today. Their flu shot clinic will go from noon to 2 p.m. today and they are located at 767 30th Street in Rock Island.

According to WQAD, Community Health Care is providing the flu shots at St. Anthony's.

The Rock Island County Health Department is holding a walk-in flu shot clinic today. Their clinic will run from 9 a.m. to noon, and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

For those wanting a flu shot at the Rock Island County Health Department, they ask that when you arrive, call 309-794-7080. They ask that no one enter the building until told to do so.

The Rock Island County Health Department is located at 2112 25th Avenue in Rock Island.

Future Tuesday Flu Shot Clinics at the Rock Island County Health Deparment include October 27 and November 10. Times for the clinic will be the same for both of those days.
