October is the perfect month to hear tales of Davenport's spooky haunted history. The German American Heritage Center in downtown Davenport offers guided tours every Friday evening and Saturday morning with stories of murders, serial killers and which areas downtown that could be haunted.

That might sound super scary, but the tour is for all ages.

The GAHC event is very popular and getting great reviews. The organization suggests bringing a bottle of water and wearing comfortable walking shoes for the 90 minute tour. Tours are Sat. Oct. 21 and 28 at 10:30 am. Since more than 70 people participated in the first event, a 5 pm Friday evening tour was added.

The cost is $5 per person. No advanced registration is required. For more information see the GAHC Facebook and webpage.
