Help QC Native and NFL Quarterback Tackle MS
Help Quad City Native Alex Tanney tackle MS with your support at this event.
Six years ago, things in the Tanney family changed. Coming from small town Illinois, Alex is not only a Giant (NFL), he has a huge heart for his entire family. Now a father himself, Alex has watched his sister-in-law, Julia Tanney's battle with MS after she was diagnosed with in 2012.
According to his website, TackleMSwithAlexTanney,
Thankfully, Julia has been able to manage most of her symptoms thanks to the protocol of University of Iowa's leading MS Researcher, Dr. Terry Wahls. I personally have followed her work for years and absolutely refer to her as one of my own 'health heroes.'
On July 13th and 14th, Alex Tanney is hosting a star-studded event in Monmouth, with 10 (and counting) confirmed NFL athletes to help take part in all of the events with proceeds benefitting Dr. Terry Wahls Research Fund.
Friday starts it off with a youth football camp on Friday, July 13th at April Zorn Memorial Stadium, a golf outing on Saturday, July 14th at Gibson Woods Golf Course with a dinner and auction following at Monmouth College (Tanney's alma mater) Scots Dining Hall. VIP packages are also availble.
Items being auctioned off include signed memorabilia from Bears, Cowboys, Panthers, Raiders, Broncos, Bills, Titans, Cardinals, Lions, Texans, Jets, Steelers, Giants, Colts, and Chiefs.
I'll be there helping in any capacity I can and bringing you interviews, pics and more on Instagram and Facebook.
Here's a throwback (pun, intended) pic from 2016 to my early morning interview with Alex Tanney in studio. I was so happy to get his text about this event. See you there.
