The Quad Cities has a lot of talent from all over, and we love when the talents is shown and gets a chance to shine. That's why events like these are key in our community. And everyone is welcome to enjoy some free music with Don Mitchem.

The Bettendorf Public Library’s popular 'Community Connections events' seek to shine light on hidden gems in the Quad Cities. Today, February 13th, 2020 at 1:30 PM, local musician Don Mitchem will be performing at the Bettendorf Public Library located at 2950 Learning Campus Dr. in Bettendorf. This free performance is open to all ages and no registration is required.

A resident of Bettendorf, Don Mitchem is an acoustic guitarist and singer who performs a variety of vocal and instrumental music, including pop, folk, gospel, blue grass, classical, and jazz. Retired from his work as a United Methodist pastor and chaplain at the Good Samaritan Society senior living campus in Davenport. He truly goes above and beyond with his helping, and performing. Mr. Mitchem remains active locally in the Bettendorf Lions Club and Asbury United Methodist Church.

Community Connections is a monthly event that seeks to focus on local history, interests, and people through lectures, travelogues, music performances, films, and more. The program series is made possible through the sponsorship of the Friends of the Bettendorf Public Library. The community and Mr. Mitchem look forward to seeing you today at the Bettendorf Public Library. For more information on these amazing events happening in our back yard you can go here.
