How You Can Own Halloween History From Closing Bistro In Illinois
We were all saddened to hear about the closing of a popular bistro in Illinois. This restaurant kept the Halloween spirit alive all year long and now you can own a piece of that Halloween history.
The popular restaurant and bistro in the Quad Cities opened its doors in Rock Island back in 2017 but the owners are closing the doors to do something different and do it on their own accord. Before they do, they need to get rid of their Halloween decorations which you can benefit from.
Illinois Bistro Set To Close In March
In a social media video on Sunday, owners of Igor's Bistro (3055 38th St.) in Rock Island revealed that after much thought and consideration, Rick and Kathy Lopez will be closing the restaurant this spring.
"Rick and I put a lot of time, care, and love into this place for the past 7 years," said Kathy in the Facebook live video on Sunday. "It's time for us to do some downsizing and take a different route with our product. We have some exciting plans in the works, so keep an eye on our Facebook page for those updates."
"Finally, we want to thank all of our loyal customers for their patronage and continued support," continued Kathy in the video. "We truly really appreciate it, more than you know. A special thank you to everyone who helped us through [COVID-19] and Rick's battle with it. That was really hard, and you guys did awesome... you really did a lot for us. We appreciate it. We couldn't have gotten through it without you. We love ya'll. Thank you."
Own A Piece Of Halloween History
In Sunday's social media video, Kathy mentioned that there would be a cash-only memorabilia sale. We now know when that is going to happen and what the menu looks like as they near the closing date.
Thursday and Friday (Feb. 29 and March 1), Igor's Bistro will be holding its cash-only memorabilia sale both days from 11-6 p.m. in the dining room. They have collected a lot of Halloween decorations over the years so if you need to add to your collection, this would be the time to do so.
Due to the sale, owners say they are closing the dining room today (Feb. 28) in preparation. The dining room will be open during regular hours on Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The drive-thru window is open and customers are asked to call ahead to place food orders.
Igor's Bistro Final Day
The last day Igor's Bistro will be open with be Thursday, March 14th, unless food and beverage products entirely run out. They will honor valid gift certificates until the final closing day.
Beyond this week's memorabilia sale, Igor's Bistro will be open carryout, Wednesday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 8 am to 2 pm. Dining hours are 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. They are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
