Hy-Vee Has Made Big Changes In Response to COVID-19
Like most of the United States (and the world), Hy-Vee Supermarkets are making big adjustments to combat coronavirus.
We Are Iowa reports the chain has temporarily closed its salad bars and other self-serve food areas, like the hummus, olives, and soup.
Additionally, the self-service buffets (like fish) will be done from behind the counter.
The kid's produce bin will no longer be out, but customers can still request items from the staff.
Personal cups may no longer be used to refill fountain drinks, coffee, or tea at supermarket dining areas or at their convenience store locations.
Sanitizing wipes and hand sanitizer will be provided for customers throughout the store, and Hy-Vee also plans on taking extra sanitizing measures in high-touch areas.
