I Had A Weird Start To My Day On Welcome Way In Davenport
No one is perfect. As Miley Cyrus aka Hannah Montana once said "everyone makes mistakes." It's how we handle those mistakes that really matter. I have made plenty of mistakes while driving. I've zoned out and didn't notice the light turned green, and got honked at, I've forgotten to use a turning signal, and so much more.
Every time I mess up while driving though I do the awkward wave to the other driver and say sorry. Today someone made a mistake while driving and lost their mind for a second.
I was on Welcome Way driving past North Park mall. I had a green light at the time and was just driving. A car was pulling out of the mall and did a right on red, but by doing this he cut me off. This also made another car in a different lane slam on their brakes. A mistake that had no injuries, or accident. End of the story right? Wrong.
No one honked at this car, but this guy must have thought someone said something. He pulled into a different lane, went behind me next to the other car and flipped them off first, and then sped past them, slowed down next to me and flipped me off.
I made a face of confusion so he then punched his hand in a threatening way. I just awkwardly laughed it off. He then spit at me, but his window was up. This guy literally just spit in his own car to show his anger.
After that he sped off. I and the other car looked at each other for a second both confused, and then went our separate ways. Today I learned that you don't even have to make a mistake while driving for someone to get mad at you and have road rage.
