We are in the heart of winter, but weather-wise, it doesn't feel like it. This week, we're experiencing some pretty warm temperatures, which are making outdoor winter activities nearly impossible in Iowa.

One of those winter activities is ice skating. If you didn't know, Sarah really likes to ice skate. Maybe we can send her as our mascot for the radio station to have some fun. But some of your favorite local mascots will be joining in on the fun of ice skating at a brand new event in Eastern Iowa.

Bring the kids out for some fun at the first-ever mascot skate in Davenport.

First-ever Mascot Skate Event In Davenport

The Davenport Parks and Recreation Department is inviting everyone out for some winter fun with local mascots and many more. On Saturday, February 22nd, they are having our first-ever Mascot Skate.

Come down to The River's Edge (700 River Drive) to skate with some of the area's favorite mascots. You and the family will be able to skate with mascots like Radar from Quad City Storm, Rascal from the Quad Cities River Bandits, Pete from United Township High School, and so much more.

Admission to this fun winter activity is cheaper than you think. It's just $6 for everyone. Don't have your own skates? No problem! Skate rental is just $3.50, and yes, that gets you both.

There is no need to try and reserve a spot. You can find more details on the Davenport Parks and Recreation Department's Facebook event page.
