Bundle up and get out of the house for a wild good time at Icestravaganza presented by Rubberstamps.net, January 14th through the 16th in Downtown Davenport. Beautiful ice carvings (more than 24,000 pounds' worth) on display all three days at the Freight House.

This year's theme is Zoo Animal Safari. Your favorite zoo animals carved out of ice! Lions and Tiger and Bears! Oh My! Stroll by the sculptures on the Freight House boardwalk or view from your car on  Beiderbecke Drive in LeClaire Park. Sculptures are on display all weekend with peak viewing when they’re lit each night from dusk ‘til ten.

On Saturday, January 15th watch live ice carving demonstrations provided by Metronet.

Many times over the years, I'll be talking with friends about years gone by and I'll say "take me back".

Every generation goes through this, I assume. Looking back at a more simple time where responsibilities haven't set in and life seems fun. Opportunities are endless.
