A joke became a problem in one neighborhood.

As Chicago station WLS reports, a 19-year-old woman has lost vision in one of her eyes following a paintball gun attack.

It happened near her neighborhood in Chicago's Southwest Side. Adrean Murillo, the victim's brother, said that the car was driving around the neighborhood just firing paintballs at people on Halloween night:

What they said is this car followed them around the block, and then it made a U-turn and stuck phones out the window, started recording, and that's when they shot the paintballs at them

Vicky Murillo, the victim, was shot in the eye by one of the paintballs and doctors now believe she has permanent damage done to her vision in her left eye.

Vicky's friend was also injured in the attack (which was at West 63rd Place and South Normandy Avenue) and they are recovering. Adrean said that at the time:

They were both on the floor, crying and screaming, their hot chocolate next to them on the floor...That was crazy to me, because they were wearing pink, fluffy things. I don't know who would target young women like that

Several of her brother's neighbors were also hit by paintballs in the same night. Her family is frustrated by the senseless crime and they are working with investigators to collect evidence online and in their neighborhood.

Details like how long the paintball gun car drove around on Halloween night and how many people were hit by the paintballs aren't available. So far, there haven't been any arrests made by the Chicago PD.
