Iowa Golf Courses Are Banning Non-Residents From Playing
Live in the Illinois QCs but want to play golf in Iowa? You're out of luck.
The QC Times reports that although some Iowa golf courses have remained open during the pandemic, rules are getting much stricter.
As of Monday, April 6, state officials say only Iowa residents will be able to play on Iowa courses.
Since Illinois and other neighboring states have Shelter in Place orders that have shut down golf courses, Iowa leaders want to make sure non-residents are following their home state's rules.
Golfers will be required to show Iowa identification in order to play at many courses. Others are still waiting for direction from state officials before enforcing the policy.
