Iowa Governor Signs Distillery Bill into Law
Great news for Iowa distilleries today.
It's been a long road for Iowa distilleries and their quest to pass a new law that would update how they are able to sell their products. Customers will now be able to enjoy an on-site glass of their choice and purchase more than 2 bottles at a time if they choose.
According to WQAD.com,
“Our native distilleries are great examples,” said Branstad. “They provide local employment using Iowa grown crops like corn and rye and they provide something of value not only for the state but for consumers throughout the nation.”
I think it's great that this will both create jobs and increase tourism in our state. One thing is for sure, the guys at Mississippi River Distilling Company are excited and plan to celebrate in July.
