Iowa Mom Arrested For Allegedly Leaving Young Kids In Car In Freezing Cold Temps
An upsetting story out of Council Bluffs, Iowa.
According to KWQC, Stephany C. Moses, 25, has been charged with two counts of child endangerment for leaving her kids in a car that was not running for 45 minutes on Tuesday. The temperature in Council Bluffs was only 5 degrees yesterday, with wind chills reaching -15.
The children, 2 and 4, were reportedly not wearing warm clothing and one of the car windows was partially down. The car was left in a parking lot, where a passerby spotted the children and called the police.
Luckily, the children were not harmed in the incident and have been put in protective custody. Moses was reportedly found shopping at a nearby retail store and was then arrested.
