Iowa’s Favorite Christmas Song Is Very Optimistic
Not all Christmas music has to be annoying.
I have to pace myself with Christmas music listening sessions. If I listen to it for too long, it gets brain-screech annoying but it's still fun to enjoy this time of the year.
There's a huge selection of bops to choose from but Iowa's favorite is definitely a classic.
What We're Listening To
You can hear Iowa's favorite song and all the Christmas classics on our Christmas music player. According to Google Trends analyzed by FinanceBuzz, in 2024, the national favorite song is "Jingle Bells". The good news, contrary to what social media might show you, is that we're mostly done with Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You".
Iowa's favorite Christmas song this year is "It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year". Which it for sure is, even though your family is arguing and everyone's around each other for days on end. It all adds to the spirit of the season.
We're in the song favorite minority with this one. Only South Carolina & Idaho like that song as much as we do. "Jingle Bells" (written in 1850, by the way) reigns supreme for yet another year as the overall favorite Christmas song in America. "Let It Snow" came in second place. "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer", "Last Christmas", "It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year", and "Deck The Halls" all tied for 3rd place.
Chances are by now that you've heard all of them and Iowa's favorite song on some store speakers somewhere, dozens of times if you work in retail.
