Iowa’s Maddie Poppe To Perform on ‘American Idol’ Sunday Night

It's hard to believe it's been about a year since Clarksville, Iowa's Maddie Poppe won the first season of 'American Idol' on ABC. Sunday night, she returns to the Idol stage to perform again.

Maddie won 'American Idol' back on May 21, 2018. I can't remember the last time I was so anxious while watching a show. I think the entire state of Iowa wanted Maddie to win. It was also the night America found out that she and fellow-finalist Caleb Hutchinson had found love. So it's only fitting that when she performs on the show Sunday night, Caleb will again be by her side as they sing on Disney Night.

What song will the two sing Sunday night? Maddie isn't giving any hints. But at least this time she won't have to perform with Kermit the Frog. As cute as that was, I'm sure Maddie is ready to move on from the frog.
