Warm cars must be a no-no in Iowa.

We've all been there. We run out and start our cars, crank up the heat and the defroster and run back in to grab everything else. I  really do this when I have my children. The thought of them being cold in a car isn't an option. When it's 40 below zero with the wind chills we get in Iowa, starting your car and letting it warm up a little makes sense, doesn't it?

Not according to Iowa law.

It seems the reason for this law is to prevent theft and doesn't seem to be on the 'must enforce' list too strongly, but that may depend on where you live and if the officers
