In 2026, there are less than 300 drive-in movie theaters left in the United States. Four of them are here in the state of Iowa! Check out all of the Hawkeye State's drive-ins that are still open in 2026!

  • Friday through Sunday in May
  • Daily from late May through early August
  • Friday through Sunday from late August through October
• Features an 18-hole mini-golf course
• Full concession stand available - pizza available to order online HERE
• To bring your own snacks, purchase a food pass for $10
• Movie sound is carried over car/portable radios (radio rental available for $5)

• Ticket booth opens at 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 6 p.m. Friday through Sunday - movies begins at dusk

  • Sundays: $7 for adults & $3 for kids

Superior 71 Drive-In Theater, Spirit Lake

• Two separate screens showing different movies
• Open Fridays & Saturdays
• Full concession stand available: popcorn, fries, corn dogs, chips, candy, nachos, onion rings, chicken strips, etc. - NO outside food or beverages allowed
• Movie sound is carried over car/portable radios (radio rental available)

• Opened in 1948 - oldest drive-in theater in Iowa
• Single screen - can accommodate 175 vehicles

Voy 61 Drive-In Theatre, Delmar

• Single screen - can accommodate 250+ vehicles
• 2026 Season
  • Friday & Saturday in April & May
  • Friday through Tuesday in June through August
  • Friday & Saturday in September through end of season
• Free activities before the movie: basketball, whiffle ball, a sand box, a swing set, volleyball, tetherball, & a children's train
• Full concession stand available: hot dogs, burgers, pizza, popcorn, walking tacos, soft pretzels, nachos, ice cream, candy, etc. - guests are also welcome to bring their own snacks (no grills allowed)
