Morgan Wallen has been through Iowa many times. He's performed at a number of concerts in the Hawkeye state and will surely be back sometime soon. But Morgan was in Iowa earlier this month for a different reason. The same reason that country stars like Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean have visited the state. Deer hunting.

Before the state was blanketed in snow, Wallen visited Iowa to do some white-tail deer hunting. The Des Moines Register reports that while Wallen was hunting in Iowa, he managed to bag his largest buck to date, and his first-ever deer in Iowa. The hunting trip was chronicled by the folks at Drury Outdoors and they shared a picture of Morgan and his deer on their Facebook page.

The post from Drury Outdoors says that in addition to the buck, Wallen was also able to harvest a doe to help with continued deer population management efforts. The post stated that it was "exciting to see  his love for the outdoors, conservation, and hunting as a whole."

The Register reports that Wallen, a native of Tennessee, thanked the Iowa Department of Natural Resources for "letting some Tennessee boys in your state." You're welcome back anytime you want, Morgan!
