Where Can You Go Line Dancing in Eastern Iowa? [LIST]
Thanks to social media, line dancing is becoming more and more popular. I see at least one line dancing video pop up in my feed every day! Since the style of dance is growing, I decided to do some research on places you can learn to line dance here in Eastern Iowa. Here are some of your options:
Hazzard County - 402 2nd Avenue SE, Cedar Rapids
Hazzard County in Downtown Cedar Rapids has line dancing lessons with Jamie every Friday night from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Admission is free and limited to ages 21 and up.
DanceMor Ballroom - 77 2nd Street SE, Swisher
The legendary DanceMor Ballroom in Swisher hosts line dancing every Wednesday and Thursday night, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. All ages are welcome and it costs $5 per person.
Giddy Up - 118 S Clinton Street, Iowa City
Giddy Up hosts line dancing on "Boot Scootin’ Sundays" from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Ages 21 and up are welcome.
Walcott Coliseum - 116 E Bryant Street, Walcott
Walcott Coliseum hosts line dancing one or two Fridays a month from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. It's $1 to get in, there is a bar with drinks for purchase, and attendees can bring their own snacks. All ages are welcome. For updates and upcoming dates, check out the official Facebook page HERE.
Deringer's Public Parlor - 314 1/2 Main Street, Cedar Falls
Deringer's hosts line dancing on Boot Scootin' Thursdays from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. It's $5 per person and you must be 21 or older to get in.
Dubuque County Fairgrounds - 14569 Old Highway Rd, Dubuque
Every Wednesday night from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. is Wild West Wednesday at the Dubuque County Fairgrounds. Admission is $5 and all ages are welcome.
