Quad Cities: Alternating Currents Reveals First Wave of 2026 Musi

Organizers of Alternating Currents have officially pulled back the curtain on the first wave of musical talent for the 2026 festival, scheduled to take over the Quad Cities from August 13–16.

The massive multi-city event, which remains free to the public, will activate more than 50 venues and public spaces across Downtown Davenport, Rock Island, and Bettendorf.

A Genre-Bending Kickoff

The initial "drop" features a staggering 65+ artists. This year’s roster promises an eclectic mix designed to satisfy everyone from the casual listener to the hardcore crate-digger, including:

Rock & Energy: Indie rock, punk, and metal.
Groove & Soul: Funk, blues, jazz, and hip hop.
The Unexpected: Genre-bending experimental sounds.
