Quad Cities, dust off your favorite bar hoodie and start making plans, because a downtown staple is officially making its comeback. Boozie’s Bar & Grill is reopening, and yes, it’s happening in a brand-new location that might be even better than the original.

Why Did Boozies Close In The First Place?

Structural problems at its longtime downtown Davenport location at 114 ½ W. Third St. forced Boozie’s to temporarily close in July 2025. The building owner discovered issues on the second floor and required the business to vacate for safety reasons and emergency repairs.

While the closure left locals worried it might be the end of an era, the owners made it clear this wasn’t goodbye, it was just a pause. And now, that pause is officially over.

A Fresh Start at the Freight House

Instead of returning to Third Street, Boozie’s is setting up shop at the Freight House, right along the Mississippi River. The new location gives Boozie’s a fresh vibe while keeping the same personality locals know and love: casual, fun, and unapologetically QC.

The new address is 421 W. River Drive (The Freight House) in Davenport, IA.

The Freight House has become a major hangout spot with events, markets, and riverfront views, making it the perfect place for Boozie’s next chapter.

Mark Your Calendar

Boozie’s is scheduled to reopen on Thursday, March 5, 2026, with a soft launch to get things rolling. Expect familiar food, drinks, and that same Boozie’s energy, just with a new backdrop.
