FREE Line Dancing Lessons Every Month At Popular Davenport Bar
If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to line dance but didn’t know where to start, a popular Davenport bar is giving you the perfect opportunity, and it won’t cost you anything.
Kelso's Corner in the Village of East Davenport is offering free line dancing lessons this year, giving locals a fun way to get moving, meet new people, and try something new on a Friday night.
Free Lessons Happening Monthly
The line dancing lessons will take place at Kelso’s Corner, the last Friday of every month from April through September, running from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The bar is located at 1117 Mound Street in Davenport, Iowa.
According to the venue, the goal is to create a fun and welcoming environment where people of all skill levels can participate. Whether you’ve never tried line dancing before or you already know a few steps, the lessons are designed so beginners can easily jump in and learn.
No Experience Needed — Just Show Up
One of the best parts about these lessons is that no experience is required. The classes are meant to be casual and beginner-friendly, so you don’t need to bring a partner or have any previous dance background.
Events like these have been growing in popularity across the country because line dancing is easy to learn and a great way to socialize. Most classes teach a few simple dances that everyone practices together, making it easy to catch on quickly.
A Fun Night Out in the Village
Kelso’s Corner has become a popular hangout spot in the Village of East Davenport, known for its lively patio and creative drink menu. The bar was even voted Best Bar in the Quad Cities by the Quad City Times in 2025.
The monthly dance lessons add another reason to visit. Grab your friends, throw on your cowboy boots, and hit the dance floor. You might leave knowing a few new moves.
And the best part? It’s completely free.
