We're getting close to wrapping up the semester and the kids are working hard, so we're still going out again for our surprises with Ultimate Chocolates to highlight and reward a deserving Quad Cities teacher.

It's now time to announce this week's B100 & Ultimate Chocolate's QC Teacher of the Week!

Congrats to Lisa Huber, Math Interventionist at Alan Shepard Elementary in Long Grove!

Ms. Huber was nominated by her daughter Shari, who said in her nomination:

Lisa has been teaching elementary school in the QCA since 1988. She has taught Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grade at various points in her over 25 year career. Currently, she serves as a Math Interventionist at Alan Shepard elementary school. Her career has included multiple stints at both Clinton and North Scott school districts as well as a quick stop in the Cedar Rapids Prairie district. She has changed grade levels and positions so often to help meet the needs of the schools and the students. She always does what her schools and students need, even if changing grade levels or subjects isn't convenient for her. Many teachers excel at one grade level or two, but it takes a true master educator like Lisa to adapt and excel to any grade or subject. No matter the subject or grade level, Lisa rises to tackle any challenge. With her flexibility, mastery and compassion, Lisa Huber is a World Class educator that any student or school would be lucky to learn from. She has poured her heart into her career as a teacher. Lisa is retiring at the end of this school year and nobody is more deserving of being recognized for always putting students first and herself second. I am so proud of my mom and the career and life she has led.

Awesome job, Ms. Huber!

For being our QC Teacher of the Week, Ms. Huber has been rewarded with a B100 Prize Pack, including stickers, a 12-pack of Minute Maid Pink Lemonade, plus chocolate goodies from Ultimate Chocolates in Bettendorf!

Thank you for your hard work and dedication, Ms. Huber!
