I went into last nights Macklemore and Ryan Lewis show at Bradley University in Peoria with an open mind. I liked a few songs here and there but I didn't consider myself a big fan. From the opening song right through the encore, a sold out crowd of 4000 screamed, sang and danced along to every note and rhyme Macklemore and his band laid down. I was amazed by the showmanship and frankly the quality of the musicians Macklemore and Ryan Lewis bring on stage with them.

It made for something much more than a hip hop or rap show. It became a night of story telling and story sharing set to music. By the time Macklemore decided to crowd surf during the final song of the night, Can't Hold Us, the people in the front tried to get a hand or finger on him as he moved throughout the crowd.

In the end I changed my mind about Macklemore. I went from being a casual fan to being truly impressed by the man and his crew's talent. As someone in radio who rarely pays for concerts, I'd pay to see this show a second time.
