Sun is especially toxic to one Wisconsin kid.

7-year-old Adeline Tonhaeuser lives in Hartford, Wisconsin with her family. Their house stays closed up and Adeline can't go outside and play. She spends recess at school sitting inside, covered up with hat, gloves, long sleeves and pants.

According to NBC Chicago, Adeline was born with a severe type of porphyria. It's a group of blood disorders that impact the skin or nervous system and about 200,000 Americans deal with it (though Adeline's specific diagnosis is only found in 200 people worldwide).

Adeline's skin is really sensitive to the sun. If she's exposed to UV light, it blisters painfully and puts her at risk of infection and scarring. Until there's a cure, Adeline has to cover up. She was diagnosed at 18 months old and, as her parents told TODAY, she makes it known that she hates the disease. Her mom, Megan Dunn, said:

It’s very isolating for her. She makes it well known to us that she hates the disease. … She wants to be normal, and she wants to go outside and play like the other kids.

Adeline enjoyed Sun Escape, a camp for photosensitive kids. And Adeline can still go outside, as long as she's fully covered.

She can't participate in things like field trips, daytime sports games, or beach vacations. Her family says she was thrilled when her brother had a nighttime soccer game and she could attend.

Meanwhile, she takes vitamin D to offset her lack of sunlight exposure. She might get a bone marrow transplant in the future to help her, but doctors aren't recommending it for now.

You Could Own The Greatest House In The State Of Wisconsin

There's a home in Wisconsin that everyone in the state would call the best house on the market. The house is reasonably priced for the amount of money you could get out of it. Why does this house sound like a gold mine? Because it sits and looks directly at the heart of Title Town U.S.A., the legendary Lambeau Field, the home of the Green Bay Packers.

Californians are leaving the Golden State for what they think is a better life. It probably is compared to the craziness that happens in Cali, but they will be shocked when they find out what Wisconsin has in store for them.
