Mississippi Valley Fair Makes Major Change To Grandstand Lineup

There's a little bit of a change for the 2023 Mississippi Valley Fair. That change is specifically regarding the bonus concert on Monday, July 31st that is supposed to feature Jimmie Allen. If you've been following the news surrounding Jimmie Allen, this announcement may come as no surprise to you.

This morning, fair officials announced two new acts will be taking the stage Monday night instead of Allen. This is still a bonus concert and as long as you have a Fun Card, you'll be able to see two awesome acts for free.

Jimmie Allen Out As MVF Grandstand Act... Again

On Thursday, Shawn Loter and the crew at the Mississippi Valley Fair announced that Jimmie Allen will no longer be playing at MVF 2023. This is the second year in a row Allen was scheduled to perform at the fair.

Jimmie was scheduled to perform at MVF 2022 on Thursday, August 4th but the show was canceled and Allen blamed it on American Airlines and delays which didn't allow him to get to Davenport.

A lot of people were excited he was returning for a bonus concert at MVF 2023, but now we know he isn't coming once again to the Mississippi Valley Fair and we have a solid idea why.

Jimmie Allen Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Two Women

Two women are accusing Allen of sexually assaulting them. Back in May, a member of Jimmie Allen's former day-to-day team says the singer raped her, and repeatedly sexually abused and harassed her over an 18-month period from 2020 to 2022, according to Taste of Country.

Variety details in depth the unnamed woman's story, citing interviews with "Jane Doe" and her friends and family, as well as dozens of text messages in that time period, exchanged between various parties including Allen and Doe.

In June, a second woman is accusing Jimmie Allen of sexual assault. Jane Doe 2 also alleges he filmed the encounter.

A lawsuit filed Friday (June 9) in Tennessee federal court describes a chance meeting on an airplane that led to two months of regular, long-distance communicating and finally a meetup in Las Vegas. There, Variety reports, she says Allen sexually assaulted her.

This makes sense as to why the 'Best Shot' singer won't be making it to Davenport this year.

Bonus Concert Gets Two New Acts

As they say in show business, "The show must go on," and that includes the bonus concert. During the same announcement Thursday morning about Jimmie Allen being out as the bonus concert, Shawn Loter announced the two new acts replacing him.

You read that right, two new acts!

Fun Cards for the 2023 Mississippi Valley Fair will be $85 until June 15th. A Fun Card will get you into the bonus concert on Monday, July 31st, and into all seven days of the fair and into the other six grandstand acts, too.

Fun Cards for the 2023 Mississippi Valley Fair will be $85 until June 15th. When you buy them at Quad Cities Kwik Star locations, Great Southern Banks, and Quad Cities, Clinton, and Muscatine Hy-Vee locations, they are also $85. Starting June 16th, Fun Cards will go up in price to $110.

Fun Cards purchased online will be mailed via certified mail.

Mississippi Valley Fair 2023 Grandstand Acts

Austin Snell will take the 2023 Mississippi Valley Fair Grandstand Stage on Monday, July 31st, 2023. Headlining that same night will be Tyler Farr. This is the bonus concert for MVF 2023!

Jimmie Allen was supposed to perform at MVF 2022 but couldn't make it after delays from American Airlines. He was supposed to come to MVF 2023 for the bonus concert but he is being accused of sexually assaulting two women.

Sam Hunt will be next to take the Grandstand Stage on Tuesday, August 1st, 2023!

Jordan Davis will be taking the Grandstand stage on Wednesday, August 2nd.

Lil Jon is the first of two acts to take the Grandstand stage on Thursday, August 3rd.

Ludacris will be the headliner on the Grandstand Stage on Thursday, August 3rd.

Three Days Grace will be rocking it out on the Grandstand Stage on Friday, August 4th.

Taking the stage on Saturday, August 5th, 2023, and headlining the 2023 Mississippi Valley is Limp Bizkit!
