Moline Police want residents to help them stop crime by paying attention to their surroundings and reporting suspicious activities to the Police Department. OurQuadCities.com reports Interim Police Chief John Hitchcock says "they've seen an uptick recently in violent crimes and retail theft."

Hitchcock wants residents to pay attention and report anything they see that's suspicious to the Police Department. The non emergency number for the Moline Police Department is 309-797-0401. Of course, if you witness an actual crime occurring you should dial 9-1-1. Here's a link to the Moline Police Department's web page. Here you can find information on how to report a crime, Crime Stoppers of the Quad Cities and even learn about the Citizens Police Academy, which is a great way to learn about and connect with the people behind the badges.
