I've lived in the Quad Cities for more than a year now, and I'm a little ashamed I didn't know about this. Have you been to Mercado on Fifth?

According to the Quad City Times, it opened this past Friday, and  will run every Friday night from 5 to 10 p.m. to Sept. 27.

This is Mercado on Fifth's fourth year being open, and features live music, food trucks, produce, retail vendors and children's activities. If you haven't been, it'll be easy to find this year, since Mercado officials have added light pole banners along 5th Avenue, between 11th and 12th streets.

The idea of the market is to bring more people to Moline's Floreciente neighborhood and increase community involvement as a whole. Per the Times' report, Mercado on Fifth also has a backup indoor location at Catalyst Kitchen, located inside St. John's Lutheran Church of Rock Island.

I can't wait to check this one out! If you've been, tell me what is a must-see!
