Mom Asking for Birthday Cards For Sick Child

An Illinois mom is asking for your help. Joey Bauer's mom, Bonnie, is asking for birthday cards for her son who is diagnosed with CLN3 Battens Disease, a rare genetic mutation in the blood.

Joey's 13th birthday will be October 25th and the party is being held on the 23rd.

The family's goal is to give Joey hundreds of birthday cards to open.

According to a story reported on by WQAD TV the disease will It will eventually cause juvenile Alzheimer, bed-ridden, blind, feeding tube conditions.
