While cities expand the site of wildlife in our neighborhoods becomes more common.  However, the site of a coyote is still reason for alert.  Especially when it's multiple over a short period of time.

In the Hampton Illinois area they have been captured on video and photo recently in broad daylight.  Hampton Police say this is the 2nd one in the last 2 weeks. This coyote was headed down 8th Avenue into the neighborhood.

According to the Humane Society more people are killed by errant golf balls than bitten by coyotes each year.  The most common human attacks occur when people are trying to feed the coyote or trying to rescue their pet from an attack.  Police remind citizens to be careful and keep an eye on pets and children.
