New Legislation Levels The Playing Field For Iowa Distilleries

I love craft beer.  Like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get. I guess I sound like Forest Gump.

I am 100% behind distilleries as well. Knowing someone took the time to craft spirits, or beer by hand and do it on a smaller scale and it being actually good appeals to me as well. It's like creating a fine piece of art.

I've worked at local Hy-Vee's in the Wine and Sprits department, and Mississippi River Distilling in LeClaire's products are not only featured, but in high demand.

According to the Quad City Times, new legislation has approved small Iowa distilleries, including the Mississippi River Distilling Co., to sell drinks by the glass cleared the Iowa Senate.
