UPDATE: The man wounded in the officer-involved shooting has been identified as 19-year-old Joshua Price of Bettendorf.

 

ORIGINAL STORY: One person is in the hospital following an officer-involved shooting Monday night in Bettendorf.

At about 11:15 p.m., officers responded to a disturbance at the Home Depot. When they arrived on scene, they found a man armed with a handgun.

He was shot and taken to a local hospital where he was then transferred to University Hospital in Iowa City.

His name is not being released pending notification of his family.

The officer has been placed on administrative leave.

The officer's name will not be released until the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation is able to conduct an interview.
