We already have enough airborne issues this year.

If you hate flying already, 2025 has not been an encouraging year for you. There's been a litany of air travel issues, for whatever reason.

At Midway, a commercial plane barely missed a jet. At O'Hare, a "forty minute flight to nowhere" ensued after a plane hit a coyote. To review:

And now, both Midway and O'Hare have crappy situations in common. Back in mid-March, an international flight out of O'Hare had to return back to Chicago after 8 of the 12 lavatories on the plane clogged (because people were stuffing clothes in them).

According to NBC Chicago, police were called to meet a Southwest Airlines flight as it landed at Midway (after flying in from Philly) because a passenger took off her clothes and defecated on her seat.

There's no word on why the lady would have done this but medical personnel met the flight there too, says Southwest Airlines. The whole incident forced the plane to be taken out of service for cleaning. In a statement about it, Southwest Airlines said:

Our Teams are reaching out to those onboard to apologize for the situation and any delays to their travel plans. Nothing is more important to Southwest than the safety of our customers and employees, and we appreciate the professionalism of our flight crew.

Earlier this month, Southwest announced they're reducing their capacity since they expect revenue to dip. They're also about to start their new policy of charging passengers for checked baggage.

U.S. Government's Level 4 Do Not Travel List

Many people travel at the end of the year for the holidays or to use up vacation days that may expire. These countries have a Level 4: Do Not Travel advisory issued on them by the U.S. Government and should be avoided.
