Popular Quad Cities Coffee Shop Closes A Location In Illinois
This is never fun news to share. A popular coffee house in the Quad Cities with three locations is now down to just two. Over the weekend, the owners of the frequented local coffee chain announced the closure of this location which seemed like it was out of the blue.
Iron + Grain Coffee House now has only two locations one in Davenport and the other in East Moline. They no longer have a location in Silvis but plan to shift their focus to the two locations remaining.
In a social media post on Sunday, the owners of Iron + Grain Coffee House announced that they closed their location in Silvis (1251 Avenue of the Cities), effective of Sunday, April 16th.
Owners of Iron + Grain Coffee House said in the announcement,
"It is with sadness that we announce the closure of our Silvis location as of Sunday, April 16th. We have thoroughly loved meeting all of our new and returning customers in Silvis over the last 1 1/2 years."
Employees at Iron + Grain in Silvis were provided an opportunity to continue to work at the other coffee house locations in East Moline (585 12th Ave) or Davenport (1618 N Main St).
Iron + Grain owners say they are looking forward to continuing to improve the other two locations by extending hours, providing new seating, and having new offerings.
With a heartfelt "goodbye," the social media post finished with hopes to give Silvis residents another coffee shop to fill the space,
"We will miss you Silvis and we hope to find another coffee shop to fill our space soon!"
If you want to start your own coffee shop, there is a perfect spot now available in Silvis off of Avenue of the Cities.
