QC Business Named one of the Best Classic Restaurants in the US by Food & Wine Magazine

When you think of long-standing Quad Cities restaurants, there are a few that come to mind, but it's hard to find a place quite as beloved as Lagomarcino's in Moline and Davenport.

Food & Wine Magazine recently curated a list of their top 250 "Classic" American restaurants, broken down state by state. Naturally, the Lago's location in Moline took one of the spots for Illinois.

Lagomarcino’s Confectionary has been tugging at the heart strings of Quad City residents (and anyone in the know passing through on I-80) for generations with its impossibly nostalgic candy shop and soda fountain model; go before or after your first Quad City pizza—there’s nothing like it, and they’re delicious-at Frank’s in nearby Silvis, around since 1955.

The magazine also gave a shout out to QC style pizza.

Lago's has been serving up delicious ice cream concoctions, along with deli fare like sandwiches and soups, since 1908. 112 years in business? Yep, pretty sure that qualifies the restaurant as a "classic."

As for the top classic spot in Iowa, the always popular Brietbach's Country Kitchen in Balltown was one of Food & Wine's chosen favorites.
