QC Popeyes Locations Are Selling Out of Chicken Sandwiches and Customers Aren’t Happy

The new Popeye's chicken sandwich has taken America by storm; prompting Twitter fights between the chain and Chick-fil-A and creating massive lines at the drive-thru at locations across the country.

And, sadly, the insane popularity of the sandwich means that most locations are running out of them. Local News 4 reports that Moline and Davenport Popeyes locations quickly sold out of the sandwiches after they were formally released last Wednesday.

Davenport's store sold out in a day and a half and Moline in less than 24 hours.

QC customers are aggravated that the sandwich just can't seem to stay in stock.

“I could see perhaps them being sold out in a major city but this is small, QC, Davenport, so yeah, I’m kind of hurt,” says Crealot Powy, who lives in Davenport.

“I’m a little sad. My day was going to be made if I could’ve got me one of those chicken sandwiches,” says Sherina Johnson, who also lives in Davenport.

Both stores were getting in a shipment of sandwiches on Friday, but they had to split them. Distribution for the item is limiting their orders, so the sandwich is first come, first serve for now.
