Join QC Rock Academy at the “Summer Kickoff Concert” on Saturday, May 22nd with some live music at Rock Island’s beautiful Schwiebert Riverfront Park. It’s the first show for these kids since September of 2020. The weather is going to be perfect so make plans to be there. These kids are ready to put on an awesome show.

Seven of the Academy’s Uber-talented student bands (over 35 teenage students) will be rocking the stage from 5:00pm-10:00pm including Been There Done That, Strictly Business, Crushed Monkey, Made Ya Look, Daze Off, Tell Tale Heart and Nonetheless plus an All-Star Jam to end the night that you definitely won’t want to miss!

This event is free and family friendly with plenty of room for social distancing. Bring your lawn chair. Concessions will be available thanks to Rock Island Parks and Recreation grilling up burgers, brats and dogs, Happy Joe’s Pizza as well as Bent River Brewing on hand selling their delicious brews.

A huge thanks to the sponsors of the event to help keep it a free family event:
