The Quad Cities area is waking up in a Wind Chill Advisory on Thursday, January 6th, 2022. Due to extremely cold air temperatures and wind chill temperatures, schools throughout the Quad Cities area are delaying opening or closing.

The National Weather Service of the Quad Cities has issued a Wind Chill Advisory for Thursday, January 6th, 2022, from 12 a.m. to 12 p.m. Wind chill values in the Quad Cities are down to -20° and the high for Thursday is 2°.

Those extremely cold temperatures and wind chill temperatures have forced schools to delay opening to students and staff or close for the entire day.
