We may have dodged the snow but the ice this morning caused a series of issues in the Quad Cities. As I scanned all the news from the QCA today, one thing was quite obvious; the freezing rain that came in last night wrecked havoc on morning travel.

From accidents and lane closures on every major highway and bridge, to canceled games and people falling, needing medical help. There always seems to be circumstances where people can't or won't stay in during storms like this, no matter the warnings from the Scott County Emergency Management Agency.

Here's a look at the different stories that made headlines today in our area:

Car crashes into house in East Moline during morning with slick driving conditions.

I-80 down to one lane after crash near LeClaire.

Traffic moving again after backup on I-80 bridge in LeClaire.

The QC Times reported on Ice, accidents abound in the Quad-Cities.

Accident on I-74, down one lane.

Then, there were the power outages:

If you're out and about tonight, you still must use caution as road conditions are still expected to be slick, according to KWQC.com.
