Since college, Pinterest has been my idea of a recipe book.

You scour the site for delicious pictures (foodporn if you will), cross your fingers, and just hope that you can make that dish taste as good as it looks

Sometimes, it's a complete failure, others are homeruns.

And not to toot my own horn, but my Slow Cooker Baby Back Ribs were out of this WORLD!

I was very apprehensive about making ribs for the first time, in an apartment, without a grill. If that's how you feel about tackling some BBQ, then keep reading.

If I was going to successfully make baby back ribs, I had to get creative in my apartment. There is no grill for that nice charred flavor, so here's what I came up with instead:

Slow Cooker Baby Back Ribs

Meat

  • 3 lbs Baby back ribs

Condiments

  • 1 Barbecue sauce
  • 1/3 cup Soy sauce

Baking & Spices

  • 1 Rub, rib (or salt, pepper, garlic powder)

Oils & Vinegars

  • 1/2 cup Apple cider vinegar

  1. Take the ribs out the night before. Cut them into sections and rub them with your favorite rib rub (I used garlic powder, salt & pepper) and then refrigerate overnight.
  2. Take your slow cooker out before you leave for work. Put the soy sauce and apple cider vinegar into the crock pot, followed by the ribs. Cook on low for 8 hours.
  3. Take ribs out, set them on a cooking pan covered with tin foil and slather on your favorite BBQ sauce. Broil on high for 15 minutes.
  4. VOILA!

Yup, it's that easy! Now, I'm expecting to see pictures of your wonderful creations so make sure you tag us on Instagram @B100QC!
