Reflecting On Veterans Day

I never served in the military. Never seriously thought about it. I always knew I wanted to be on the radio but every year on Veterans Day I think about every man and woman who made sure I have the right to pursue whatever career I choose. And every year it amazes me how many Veterans I know, either through being on the air or family members or even just friends on Facebook.

One of those guys is Dr. Mark Stewart. He was the best man in my wedding and is married to my cousin. He's a surgeon at ORA in Moline and a Navy Veteran. You can read his reflections on serving in the military and his medical work in the Quad Cities.
