Rock Island County Fair to be in-person this year
More fun events are being announced for Quad Cities summer, 2021. The Rock Island County fair announced on Tuesday more details about this year's fair, including events, grounds entertainment and that people can attend the fair this year.
In a press release on Tuesday, the Rock Island County Fair announced today that there will be an in-person fair this year. The 2021 Rock Island County Fair will go from Tuesday, July 20 to Saturday, July 24.
Officials said that entry is free before 8 p.m. each day of the fair. The fair will also once again welcome visitors and exhibitors from throughout the Quad Cities "and beyond."
Fair President, Lauren Crawford, also announced in the press release that some entertainment fairgoers can expect. The entertainment announced on Tuesday includes the New Windsor Drill Team followed by fireworks, stockcar races, a truck and tractor pull, motocross and a demo derby which will take place in the grandstands.
Below is a full list of what acts will be performing what nights:
- Tuesday night: Fireworks, New Windsor Drill Team
- Wednesday night: Stock Car Races
- Thursday night: Tractor Pull - Illini State Pullers
- Friday night: Motorcross - WFO Promotions
- Saturday night: Demolition Derby- Viola Boyz
Visitors should expect the same great hospitality as seen in years past. The 2021 fair will also feature grounds entertainment, including the fan-favorite carnival and livestock shows.
The Rock Island County Fair was founded in 1870. The fair moved to the current location in East Moline in 1955. This year, the Rock Island County Fair will be celebrating 150 plus years of family fun.
