Rock Island High School will be seeing some big upgrades when they come back to school, and the most extensive of those upgrades will benefit football, track and soccer athletes as the Public School's Stadium is the center of work right now.

Some updates include a new FieldTurf surface will be put down in the coming weeks and the track is getting a new surface as well.

According to qconline All of the work was being paid for by funds from the 1% sales tax that feeds roughly $3.4 million annually to District 41.

We will also be seeing new restrooms being built behind the stands on the east and west side of the stadium. Along with the new feildturf  that costs over $250,000 .

The stadium is 90 years old, and some of the last updates that were made were 12 years ago, so it will be great to see what gets done for this QC School. Even while many schools are on the fence about opening. You can see more about that here.
